I Talk in Pictures - Pennings Foundation Eindhoven

The Bondsmeesterklasse of the Fotobond Nederlands Centrum voor Vrije fotografie (Dutch Centre for Free Photography) is celebrating its 65th anniversary with the exhibition ‘I Talk in Pictures’ at Pennings Foundation.
Photographer Roel Visser made a selection of over 120 photos by 48 members of the master class. Four of my photos are included.
Forty-eight members of the Bondsmeesterklasse of the Koninklijke Fotobond Nederland (Royal Dutch Photography Association) will present a selection of their photographic works at Pennings Foundation from 14 December 2024 to 11 January 2025. This year, the BMK is celebrating its 65th anniversary and 13th lustrum with the publication of the book ‘BMK: Volop in Beweging’ (BMK: Volop in Beweging) and the exhibition ‘I Talk in Pictures’. The selection of over one hundred and twenty images was compiled by Roel Visser, professional photographer.
Roel Visser: “A beautiful and diverse palette of striking reports, beautiful landscapes and artistic images. What stood out was the attention and often also the uniqueness that speaks from the selection. Especially in a time when we are flooded with images.”
The Bondsmeesterklasse is a national working group within the Royal Photo Association, Dutch Centre for Free Photography. The members of the group are selected by a professional jury of professionals. www.fotobond.nl
Roel Visser mainly made a splash as a photographer with his photos in which a sharp criticism of aspects of the welfare state is presented. Roel has eight photo books to his name, of which ‘Hier in Holland’ is the highlight. He has worked for Nieuwe Revu, HP/de Tijd, Het parool and NRC Handelsblad, among others.

This summer I will be exhibiting my work in Museum Farm Westfrisia, in the part called 'the Square'. Altogether there are 32 (most large) works.
On Friday June 9th 2023, we celebrated the opening of my exhibition with more than 70 guests. Many photographers were present, from all over the Netherlands. Invited were Marcel van Balken, Koninklijke Fotobond Nederland, Kenneth Stamp, Armando Jongejan a.o.. Mayor of Opmeer Gerard van den Hengel opened the exhibition. The photos below were taken by Kenneth Stamp, Evelien van der Horst and Hanneke de Boer.
